Adept is opening for Architects in Malmö.
I’ve known for a while and I’ve a hard time accepting it.
Like really? One opening act? And it’s Adept? Really?
Yeah yeah, I should probably a. get a hobby, and b. remember that attendance is not mandatory. I can stay in the bar.
But still.
Seems to me there are other and better choices.
Northlane. They’ve released a record and far as I know no Swedish date booked. And they were so good back in December when they opened for Amity Affliction. (..maybe even slightly, just a little, dare I say, better than Amity..?)
I simply cannot understand why not.
Annisokay. I like Annisokay well enough. But I don’t particularly want to see them play (no reason really, just don’t). Still I’d much rather see Annisokay than Adept.
Casey. I mean, just look at this:
If I’m being honest. It is specifically Casey my brain has decided it cannot accept that they’re not on the bill. There is no logic behind it. Could be because I keep getting tweets in my feed saying how Casey is the band to see. As if I didn’t know already. Doesn’t mean that it would be an obvious choice for opening act for Architects. But still.
This is not a comment on Adept’s skills or talent. I’m sure they have it. (For now…) But they do strike me as a band geared towards men. And I find that insanely boring.
When I could be seeing Casey.
It makes no sense to me.
